Chair of Saint Peter

Read: Matthew 16:13-19

You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

Dear Lord Jesus,

You truly are our Great Leader.  May your compassion inspire us to become good shepherds too to the flock entrusted to us. As we celebrate the feast of the Chair of Saint Peter, we lift up to you the intentions of the Pope, the health of our current pope Benedict XVI and the Cardinals who will elect his successor.  Most of all, we pray for the Catholic church that we may remain faithful and united in your love.

Amen. 

Repent

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Read:  Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18

Dear Lord Jesus,

Your humility has shown the world that we should also humble ourselves and repent.  Cleanse our hearts that we may only perform our tasks in love, and purify our mind that we may only think and obey your will.

Dear Lord God,  

All that You have created is good.  Give me the knowledge to use your blessings well so that I may be a blessing to others as well.

Healer

Read Mark 6:53-56

"as many as touched it were healed."

Dear Lord Jesus,

you are the greatest healer of physical ailments and spiritual dryness, let me find rest in you.  When I grow weary, refresh me with your word so that I may also draw others to listen to You.
