Proclaim

Read: Mark 16:15-18

"Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature" - Mk16:15

Dear Lord Jesus,

Let me live in the light with you.  You are the Truth that we are called to proclaim about.  Grant me the courage and wisdom to proclaim the good news and defend the truth in everything that we do.

Ruler

Read: Mark 3: 7-12

"You are the Son of God." - Mk 3:11

Dear Lord Jesus,

You are the ruler of my life.  Please govern my words, thoughts and deeds so that in everything that I am, you may be glorified more.

Amen.

Outstretched arms

Read: Mark 3:1-6

"Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out and his hand was restored." Mk 3:5

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for attending to me despite my sinfulness. I know I am paralyzed without you.  With my arms stretched out, let me receive your healing love and mercy.  Grant me the courage to do your will even when it is most difficult to obey.

Rest

Read: Mark 2:23-28

"The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
That is why the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath." - Mark 2: 28 

Dear Lord Jesus,

thank you for inviting me to celebrate life with you,  May I always cherish this gift by living  my purpose:  to love and serve You through my brethren.  You, dear Jesus, is the true source of rest and may I always find comfort in knowing that you are with me even at the busiest moments of my life.

Loving embrace

Read: Mark 2:13-17

"I did not come to call the righteous but sinners." - Mark 2:17

Dear Lord Jesus,

you have called me to follow you and share a life with you despite my sinfulness. Unworthy as I am, you chose to become a man like me and embrace me with your loving arms. Grant me an open heart to heed your call, a heart ready to set aside those that I deem precious just to follow you.  Lord, I know that you are more than enough and allow me to live in that joyful realization.
